A real smoke screen prevents us from seeing the realities that lie behind illness. Behind the scenes, there is in fact a character who is rarely brought to light: the sick person. The very concept of illness suggests that it is entirely external to the individual. It must therefore be fought by every possible and imaginable means: drugs, surgery, chemotherapy, etc.

But is it really external to the individual? If so, what would be the criteria by which illness strikes one individual and not another? Is it a simple game of Russian roulette with destiny? Such a hypothesis clearly does not seem serious! So what exactly is it? The question that arises then is what the causes of illness are.

By personalizing illness and naming it, we give it an existence fully external to man, as if we were dealing with a monster lurking in the shadows. This monster is frightening and terrorizing. Yet, we know that fear degrades one's state of health. The personalization of individuals' physiological reactions through names of diseases (cancer, AIDS, etc.) contributes to paralyzing the public. Campaigns against diseases in a sense fuel the problem they are supposed to be fighting! There is a trap here into which society is led astray without a real debate being able to take place. In fact, the notion of illness corresponds to a form of abstraction. No one has ever seen an illness walking down the street. On the other hand, we do encounter sick people.

Furthermore, in this notion of illness, there is also a more or less conscious component of refuge. It suits many people. It absolves the sick person of responsibility and grants the medical world total power. The situation is therefore not very simple. The objective of this book is to allow everyone to discover the ecobioenergetic parameters of health in order to be able to take control of their life when signs of dysregulation appear in the form of symptoms or unease.
