The great merit of this reissue of Rodolphe Lavinay's book is that it brings to light the generous work of this pioneering and modest researcher, who is virtually unknown today. Rodolphe Lavinay is one of those practically forgotten genius inventors. Our country is accustomed to these free men who made extraordinary discoveries. The list is long, from Georges Lakhovsky, Louis Boutard, Stanislas Bignand, and Antoine Priore to so many others.

An engineer by training, Rodolphe Lavinay explains in this work the action of waves in every field, particularly on the human cell and living matter. Through several reproducible experiments, he defines the characteristics of the waves used in radiesthesia, in which he had become interested in order to cure himself of a very serious illness. He achieved unexpected cures on numerous patients, which, as early as the 1950s, hinted at the extraordinary therapeutic potential of electromagnetic waves. In 1954, thirty-four years before Jacques Benveniste's work on the "memory of water" and so-called "quantum" medicine, Rodolphe Lavinay was already working in this direction and obtaining tangible results. A number of unobtainable documents, which show the applications of his research, have been reproduced in the appendices. These include the description and use of the GERB and Bioméga devices, an incredible article published in 1954 in the magazine Détective on his "irradiation" work, and finally, a testimonial from Dr. Henri Quiquandon in the journal of the Société médicale de biothérapie regarding the nature and medical applications of hydrobiological energy.
